In the style of Korean gochujang, this chile paste is made with locally sourced organic peppers, fermented with koji rice, creating a fruity chile paste mellowed with the creaminess of rice.
Fermented Rice Chile Paste is incredibly versatile, with a pleasant spice-level balanced with the creamy sweet-savory flavors of the fermented koji rice. This chile paste meant to be used during the cooking process, as opposed to a “finishing sauce,” as with our other hot sauces. Use as you would Korean gochujang, or any other chile paste, to add a touch of pleasant heat, and a whole lot of savoriness, to any soup, stew, sauce, marinade, or grill rub.
