An essential ingredient in eastern Mediterranean cooking, preserved lemons provide gorgeous citrus flavor along with a nice amount of salt and umami. With just two ingredients- sea salt and lemons- The flavor of our Preserved Lemons is clean and simple with an added complexity thanks to the fermentation process. At Tasting Counter, we transform the preserved lemon pulp into a bright and citrusy vinaigrette. A great condiment to keep in your pantry!
Using fresh berries exclusively from Wild Acres Farm located in western Massachusetts, we utilize the "cold stir" method, which allows the delicate flavors of these fruits to be best preserved. The naturally tart ingredients combined with a minimal amount of organic sugar creates a balanced sweet/sour flavor reminiscent of traditional European preserves. At Tasting Counter, we use the Blueberry Black Currant Sour Cherry & Rhubarb preserves as a sauce for desserts or a cheesecake filling but it’s also incredible spread on toast and biscuits (or eaten directly out of the jar with a spoon).
