As we approach the end of 2020, we reflect on what has been the most difficult year since we opened in 2015. We were forced to shut down just a few months before Tasting Counter's 5th birthday. After many difficult conversations and even more difficult decisions were made, we take this opportunity to celebrate you – our guests – the reason we are still here today. Our incredible guests motivate us to be the "little restaurant that could.” You keep us afloat emotionally – and financially – with your support, generosity, and understanding, for which we are forever grateful.We would not be where we are today without our guests, our community, and our staff. Our dedicated team has continued to work with us through thick and thin to keep this restaurant going. This restaurant is not just our livelihood, but the source of inspiration and motivation that keeps us energized and our guests returning. This restaurant was designed to be nimble and flexible... to endure and to adapt. With your support, we were able to reinvent ourselves in order to create a safe environment for our guests and staff.Since the initial shutdown in March, we've pivoted at each point to ensure Tasting Counter endures this incredibly difficult time. We are now not only a fine dining restaurant – Tasting Counter – but also a virtual dining service – TC@Home – and a retail establishment – TC Market & TC Cellar! Albeit our toughest year, we are only stronger and better for it. We are more committed than ever in our dedication to our guests, our staff, and our mission: providing unique dining experiences that bring guests closer to the preparation and presentation of their tasting menu!Whether it's maintaining 6 feet between guest parties, limiting seatings to 25% occupancy, or upholding mask-wearing at all times, Tasting Counter has proven to be a safe and secure in-door dining destination for all your celebratory dinners and special occasion events.
