ALSATIAN WINE DINNER with LYLE RAILSBACK– SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8 at 6pm –
Join us celebrating the unique wines of Alsace with special guest Lyle Railsback of Kermit Lynch Wines, featuring the wines of renowned estates Albert Boxler, Meyer-Fonne, as well as Domaine Ostertag. This one-night-only wine dinner on Sunday, December 8, will kick-off our new Sunday dinner services, featuring a special tasting menu inspired by these wines from one of central Europe's most unique terroirs... a melange of soils that create breathtaking wines with layered complexities and indelible grace. Each course will be paired with wines from the famed estates, and in some instances, side-by-side pours will allow you to experience an in-depth understanding of the flavor of Alsatian wine. – WINTER FORAGING WORKSHOP & DINNER –
Give yourself, or the nature lovers in your life, the ultimate winter foraging experience! Our winter foraging workshop and dinner on Sunday, January 26 will feature a hands-on workshop on preserving foraged ingredients, followed by a 9-course tasting menu highlighting these ingredients. Each month, we invite a guest chef behind the counter to takeover Tasting Counter's Wine Bar service for the night! We've had some incredibly talented chefs cook everything from spicy Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sandwiches to the hidden dishes of Singaporean cuisine, always carefully selecting delicious natural wines to complement these diverse dishes.
We have two fantastic Wine Bar Takeovers coming up which we're really excited about... in December, we have our own pastry chef, Kevin Halim, taking over the kitchen for an evening of inspired desserts that will entice both sweet and savory palates, all while pushing the boundaries of what we envision desserts to be. Then in January, we have Eric Frier, the chef behind the wildly popular Neptune Oyster in Boston's North End. As always with Wine Bar, walk-ins are welcome, but we now also offer advance tickets to guarantee your seat!
